Aimee Osbourne Makes Rare Public Appearance as Family and Fans Mourn Ozzy in Birmingham Farewell

His seldom seen daughter Aimee Osbourne was pictured in public with her mother Sharon for the first time since the death of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne.

The family made an emotional appearance at the funeral procession in Birmingham, his cherished hometown.

On Wednesday afternoon, thousands of mourning fans joined the Osbourne family in saying goodbye to the legendary Black Sabbath frontman.

The funeral procession, which took place around the streets of Birmingham, the birthplace of Ozzy’s legacy, was a mournful yet joyous homage to his life, music, and cultural influence.

With a pink flower wrapped in black paper in each hand, Aimee, 41, the oldest of Ozzy and Sharon’s daughters, was spotted strolling beside her mother and siblings, Kelly and Jack.

In the vicinity of the Black Sabbath Bridge, a site that has become a landmark for fans grieving the rock star, the family added their flowers to an expanding sea of floral tributes.

The 72-year-old Sharon Osbourne was clearly moved as she gave a hug to Zafar Iqbal, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, and then stopped to observe the fans who had assembled to pay their respects.

As the hearse carrying Ozzy’s casket passed through the city, supporters shouted, yelled his name, and tossed roses gently.

Although all members of the Osbourne family received warm reception, many fans were particularly moved by Aimee’s appearance, who has long avoided the spotlight.

Aimee has spent years developing her music career in private under the band name ARO.

She is well-known for refusing to appear on the family’s MTV reality show, The Osbournes.

In a 2020 interview with The Independent, Aimee gave an explanation for her decision to avoid the limelight when she was younger.

“In the midst of the chaos of family life, I still felt like I was trying to figure out who I was.”

“So why in the world would I want to see that on TV?”

“I wanted to keep my siblings, parents, and myself safe.”

At the time, she stated, “They were very impressionable and very young.”

As they moved through the throng during Wednesday’s parade, Aimee was spotted consoling her distraught mother.

They stopped with family members to read letters and tributes from fans.

After the march, social media was inundated with tributes.

“As a daughter, I feel absolutely gutted for Kelly, Jack, Aimee, and their other siblings,” a user posted on X (previously Twitter).

“Sharon must be going through a terrible time, and I feel terrible for her as well.”

“I simply cannot imagine what it must be like for her.”

Someone another wrote: “It is really heartbreaking.”

“During this trying time, my thoughts and prayers are with the Osbourne family.”

“God bless Sharon, Kelly, Jack, Aimee, Louis, and the family,” a third person commented.

“Ozzy was a legend, and people all throughout the world are grieving for his family.”

Rock and roll was forever changed by Ozzy Osbourne’s songs, life story, and distinctive voice.

The procession on Wednesday, however, also paid tribute to the man who brought the renown to life—a loving husband, father, and cultural influence who motivated generations.

In addition to the music he composed, his legacy now endures in the silent fortitude of a family grieving a personal loss and a public figure.
