Astronomer CEO Andy Byron got well-known after something went viral at Coldplay’s concert in Boston. This led to rumours online about a possible office romance and questions about his past work behaviour.
When the “Kiss Cam” part of Coldplay’s Boston gig came on, the audience may have seen a well-known IT executive and his supposed lover act suspiciously.
When the camera got close to them, the male dropped down to hide and the woman turned her head away.
Later, we found out that the person was Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, a company that organises data. He hugged Kristin Cabot, who is the Chief People Officer of Astronomer.

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, joked about the situation by asking the crowd, “Uh-oh, what?” They are either really bashful or cheating on someone.
Someone on the internet said, “Chris Martin doing Gods work, [sic],” in reaction to the frontman’s off-the-cuff comment. Another person said, “What if Coldplay caught you?”
Since the video went viral, people on social media have been sharing Chris Martin’s amusing but provocative comment over and over. Someone said, “HES having an affair… [sic].” Someone another said, “There’s no doubt they’re hiding something.”
Someone said, “Oh my God, that looks like Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer of Astronomer!” They said they knew the couple right away. Yes, the meeting of the board will be quite uncomfortable, and it could even lead to some divorces.
“Where do you think he told his wife he was going?” someone else said. once it was evident that Byron had a wife.
As soon as the video of the event became viral, people on the internet and social media started looking into the pair. This made me think of Byron’s 2023 news story about Cabot hiring an executive. In the statement, he said:
Kristin’s strong leadership and deep knowledge of how to manage people, get employees interested, and scale people approaches will be incredibly critical as we move swiftly forward. She has run a number of firms that were growing, and Astronomer is the perfect place for her because she loves developing workplaces that are different and function together.
Those comments are coming back, but this time they’re coming back in a completely different way. People have had a variety of various reactions to their claimed affair online, from funny to not believing it. “This cheating scandal is a gift that keeps on giving, especially for the lawyers. “Right now, their husbands need to be thanking the tabloids 😂😂😂,” one person said.
Others quickly saw that the problem might not be as simple as it seemed. A viewer with good eyesight said, “It looks like she has a wedding ring on too?”
According to court documents in Massachusetts, Cabot and her ex-husband Kenneth Thornby filed for divorce in 2018 and concluded it in 2022. There is proof that the ex-couple has at least one child together, but Thornby had to pay child support, so it’s not clear if she has gotten married again since then.
As more and more people became suspicious, many turned their attention to Byron’s marriage. First, Megan Kerrigan Byron, his wife, deleted the name Byron off her Facebook page. After that, she deleted the whole profile. She has also deleted her Instagram account.
After getting a lot of comments on her social media profiles about the viral footage of her husband and his HR executive at the performance, Megan seems to have acted quickly. In the end, a lot of people on the internet told Megan they were on her side.
Byron has switched off his LinkedIn profile for now. “I know the company is going crazy today,” someone said.
People can still view Cabot’s online accounts, but Byron’s are vanished. “I’m a powerful leader and a fearless change agent,” her CV says. I set a good example and earn the trust of workers at all levels, from CEOs to managers to helpers.
As the rumoured affair comes to light, people are more interested in Byron’s work history, especially his stint at the cybersecurity company Cybereason.
In an April 2018 article named “Fake Hire, Staff Departures Roil SoftBank-Backed Security Startup,” The Information reported that former employees said Byron was a tough and rude CEO.
“The story went on to say that several former employees said Mr. Byron would get angry at workers who disagreed with him and even threaten to fire them.” “You couldn’t question him,” remarked a former coworker.
Byron was the chief revenue officer at Cybereason for more than two years, starting in 2017, according to his LinkedIn profile, which is no longer active. At that time, a lot of individuals quit his company because of how he operated it. In response, he is claimed to have employed dedicated salespeople from his former company, Fuze.
“We started off great and did really well, but it was never enough to just say we were a fast-growing company because we were always trying to hire more people and make more money,” said one former team member. We need to grow the most quickly. The worker stated the vibe was “sad.”
A different worker, who was still with Cybereason when the report came out, claimed, “People loved the business.” They don’t like it now.
Byron said that his choices had only let some people down and that he had not been nasty.
Cabot and Byron haven’t said anything about this yet. Byron’s wife has made it apparent that she won’t say anything by not using her social media sites.
