Ashley Graham crowned the ‘World’s Sexiest Woman’

Ashley Graham has officially been crowned the ‘World’s Sexiest Woman’ by Maxim magazine for 2023.

And to celebrate the 35-year-old mum-of-three’s achievement, Graham is gracing the cover of Maxim’s special ‘Hot 100’ issue and being given a glowing write-up in the accompanying cover story.

In the article, Graham is hailed as the “Queen of Curves”, described as being “as gorgeous as she is inspirational”, and called “an absolute goddess of the runway”.

Additionally, the supermodel candidly opened up about the honor and her feelings on her body, telling readers: “We can look at everybody’s shapes and sizes, gender, ethnicity, and age as part of who they are; it doesn’t have to be a negative or a positive.”

She adds: “Our bodies are always changing, and they’re always evolving. I’ve been using my own body as a tool to be able to talk about these feelings.”

And it is messages like the above that prove why Graham is so deserving of the title – having beaten out names like Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, and Doja Cat to win the title.

She now joins the likes of Teyana Taylor (2021 – the first Black woman to win the title), Jessica Alba (2001), Jennifer Garner (2002), Jessica Simpson (2004), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (2011), Miley Cyrus (2013), and last year’s winner Paige Spiranac.

After sharing the news with her 20 million Instagram followers, many of her fans flooded her comments section with praise.

“Because of you, Ashley, I’m not ashamed of my extra pounds that I put on as I’ve gotten older. Thank you for helping me embrace that side of me. I wish you had been around when I was much younger and made to feel ashamed of my curves and extra weight,” one person wrote. “So glad that with age comes wisdom, understanding, and acceptance.”

A second added: “Today is my birthday and I want to thank you for being such an inspiration for me.”

And a third wrote: “You deserve this, thank you for being such a positive role model.”

Graham is married to her husband of 13 years, Justin Ervin, with the couple sharing three children together; Isaac, born in 2020, and twin sons Malachi and Roman, who were born in 2022.

The model has always been vocal about the importance of representation for plus-size women.

In fact, back in December 2022, she was praised for her response to a journalist who declared that “the fat positivity movement is getting out of hand”.

Per the Independent, the statement was made by the self-proclaimed “anti-woke journalist” Sameera Khan in a tweet that was swiftly deleted.

But that didn’t stop Graham from shining bright and sharing a stunning snap of her outfit, along with the caption: “Quote tweet this with a photo of you taking ‘fat positivity’ too far. I’ll start.”

Honestly, if she keeps being this iconic, she’ll be crowned “World’s Sexiest Woman” next year too.
