“Love Is Blind” Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey Could Lose Reunion Hosting Job To Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton

Love Is Blind hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey may be looking for new hosting gigs soon as the show eyes former contestants Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton to moderate the reunions.

Fans were not pleased with this season’s reunion for several reasons. After initially promising a live show, Netflix experienced several hours of technical difficulties that delayed the stream. Ultimately, they decided to pull the plug and release a taped version of the reunion. The Lacheys shared an apology on Instagram during the chaos and thanked everyone for their patience. When fans finally watched the highly anticipated reunion, they were turned off by the couple, who fans felt were biased toward certain cast members. In the end, the reunion, described as “cringy” by many, was not a Love Is Blind favorite, leaving fans calling for the couple to be fired.

The backlash grew so intense online that a Change.org petition to permanently replace the Lacheys was launched, attracting over 42,000 signatures. Now, the streaming platform is strongly considering Love Is Blind alum Speed and Hamilton to take over. The couple was married on November 16th, 2018, day 40 of the relationship experiment.

“Viewers feel a connection with Lauren and Cameron because they are the real deal,” a source told DailyMail.com. The source said the couple is much more relatable than the Lacheys because they’ve actually undergone the process.

The fallout caused former cast member Shayne Jansen to come to the Lacheys defense, calling them “extremely nice.”

As of now, no final decision has been made.
