A couple who’s married for more than five years now shared how, from the early stage of their relationship to this day, the husband often gets a lot of cruel trolling and insults for his looks. And it was worst when they began making funny content on TikTok that garnered a lot of attention. Scott from Houston, Texas, however, looked like he was having fun with his “hot wife,” Divine, from the Philippines.
Their relationship began in February 2017 from a wrong text message from Divine on Facebook.
The couple started a long-distance relationship not long after, and in November 2017, Scott decided to fly to the Philippines to meet Divine for the first time.
Scott later proposed to her and flew back. Their long-distance relationship continued for another four years when Divine finally moved to the US to get married to him.
Since 2021, they started making content about their daily life as a married couple.
But the couple often gets cruel comments who think Scott is “too ugly” or that Divine is a gold digger who wants him for his money or green card.
Speaking to Truly, Scott revealed how he’s suffering from a chronic autoimmune disease that changed his life. He shared, “Before I met Divine, life was pretty boring. My life was at a total standstill.”
He has Scleroderma, the reason why his appearance “morphed” since he was 13. Hence, he’s not new to crude commentary. He shared, “Because you keep seeing the same thing over and over again. There’s just no effect anymore. We’re just two normal people… there’s always going to be someone out there that’s not going to think about it (your appearance).”
They’ve received a lot of unwarranted questions and comments just because of his appearance, but the couple often makes snarky remarks in replies to these comments.
But they can’t stop their love for each other and have over 264k followers on their social media.
