If You See A Man With One Painted Fingernail, Here’s What It Means

NOT ON RECORD This Is What Happens If You See A Man With One Painted Fingernail

Guys have been spotted in public with one painted fingernail, and there’s a really great and worthwhile reason behind it.

Men have the option to paint one or more fingernails on each hand, and they can choose different colors for each hand.

While some guys do take it a step further and add a design on top of the color, the meaning of the color itself stays the same.

This exclusively male trend started in Australia, but some entrepreneurial American guys are bringing it to the US.

Elliot Costello was traveling with a company called Hagar International when he met Thea, a little girl, who gave him the idea to paint his nail and disseminate it further.

Elliot and the group set out to improve the lives of the locals in Cambodia when they first arrived.

Conversely, Elliot was most impressed by the tiniest villager and discovered a problem that affects youngsters not only in Cambodia but also throughout the world, particularly in the United States.

By interacting with Thea in ways she would find enjoyable, Elliot took the time to get to know little Thea.

An essential for this girly-girl was nail polish. While they talked about her life and her problems, she painted one of his, and he painted one of hers.

When he discovered that she had experienced sexual

I promised her that I would always remember her and, consequently, her suffering as she painted one of my nails.

Following this heartwarming conversation, Elliot was even more inspired to change men’s behavior in a way that would protect kids from sexual abuse.

That’s when he got the concept for the Polished Man project, where guys can become #PolishedMans by painting one fingernail for a week.

The one fingernail out of five represents the one child out of every five who will experience sexual abuse.

“Being a Polished Man means challenging violent behavior and language, both locally and globally,” according to Polished Man, an organization dedicated to ending sexual abuse against minors.

Elliot came to the conclusion that males need to be the driving force behind change if we are ever to put an end to the abuse of defenseless children, as they account for 96% of this kind of violence against children worldwide.

The ultimate intention isn’t for people to look at a man with a brand-new nail and realize that hundreds of thousands of children suffer every day and will live to regret it.

Rather, Elliot hopes that by bringing up the fingernail, people will talk about this sad fact and perhaps even come up with new ways to stop it or perhaps donate money to “support educational programs and resources for child survivors of abuse,” as APlus pointed out.
