As she celebrates Savage X Fenty’s 5th anniversary, Rihanna flaunted her baby bump in an office-themed photoshoot. The singer, 35, opted for a sleek black Flocked Logo bralette, available for $14.97 on the brand’s website. The beauty whose son’s first birthday is just around the corner on May 13th paired the bralette with black shorts featuring the Savage X Fenty logo along the waistline.
Matching the lingerie’s color scheme, Rihanna slipped into a pair of open-toed black heels.
The Life Me Up hitmaker, also opted for minimalistic accessories, wearing a gold-chained anklet as well as a gold ring on her left hand.
Her long locks fell past her shoulders, parted in the middle, while gentle bangs delicately framed her forehead. Rihanna beamed a radiant smile as she struck her favorite poses, while also showing off her blossoming baby bump in every capture. Set against an office-themed backdrop, she could be seen positioned in front of a prominent printer.
The photoshoot comes after the Grammy winner reportedly named her son RZA Athelston Mayers, inspired by a member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Another image of the photoshoot shows a flurry of papers tossed into the air, elegantly encircling the Umbrella singer, and forming an enchanting pool around her on the floor. Rihanna then playfully swayed her head from side to side, causing her dark locks to whip around her face. In the caption of the post, the music artist penned to her 149 million fans and followers, ‘It’s giving…call HR!! #5yearsofSAVAGEX.’
The brand, launched five years earlier on May 11, 2018, offers not only lingerie pieces, but also loungewear, sports, and a men’s line.
In an interview with British Vogue in February, Rihanna gushed about the success of her company, saying, ‘Savage is insane because we are expanding not just categories, but there’s the men’s side of each category too. Sleepwear for women and men, loungewear for women and men, and sports for women and men. So that’s been lovely to see the evolution, and, as demanding as that is, I really enjoy it. I love seeing how this brand has grown so much.’
Along with a clothing line, the mother soon-to-be two, also launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, which has also become a multi-million-dollar business.
DailyMail.com exclusively reported that Rihanna has finally unveiled the name of her son, previously kept under wraps for almost a year.
According to the obtained birth certificate, her son is named RZA Athelston Mayers, inspired by the Wu-Tang Clan group, RZA. The Wu-Tang Clan was established in 1992. The singer cleverly hinted at her son’s name through her fashion choices, adorning herself in attire featuring the iconic Wu-Tang Clan logo. The influential group includes RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol’ Dirty B**tard.
Interestingly, the birth certificate also discloses that RZA inherited his father’s middle name, Athelston.
‘Athelaston,’ is a noble English-origin name with the meaning of ‘noble stone.’ While the true extent of Rihanna’s admiration for RZA and the Wu-Tang Clan remains veiled, it reported her partner A$AP Rocky is a devoted fan. Their musical connection became tangible when A$AP Rocky collaborated with Raekwon from the rap group on the 2015 track “Fly International Luxurious Art.”
Among the influential group, RZA, known by his birth name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, has produced an array of albums for the Wu-Tang Clan and its members, while also releasing solo music under the evocative moniker Bobby Digital. However, the couple is expectant of baby no 2, as Rihanna shared the news during her Super Bowl Halftime. In an interview with British Vogue, the businesswoman opened up about parenthood with the Good For You rapper, stating, ‘We’re best friends with a baby.’
Rihanna added of parenting with A$AP Rocky, ‘We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.’
Along with focusing on raising her son and preparing to welcome another addition, Rihanna had hinted about creating new music. She told the publication, ‘I have my ideas in my head, but I can’t say them out loud yet.’ With regards to a release date for a track or an album, the songstress claimed, ‘I want it to be this year. Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.’
